Do you love ACTING? 

Would you like to join a new informal and social group for adults?

Join our fun, free Adult Drama Group THE STEPPERS, meeting monthly to share and create theatre. 

Explore the craft of acting through games, exercises and rehearsals with no pressure to perform. 

Our monthly Adult Acting Group is the perfect way to develop new skills or polish up old ones in a safe environment. At the Steppers you will exercise your creativity, build your confidence, meet like-minded friends and have lots of fun!

This will include: Script work, Improvisation, Characterisation, Technique & Practitioners, Vocal Work, Divising , Storytelling and much more!

Steppers Dates:

-Monday 7th April, 7-8pm

-Monday 12th May, 7-8pm

-Monday 2nd June, 7-8pm

-Monday 7th July, 7-8pm

Monday 4th August, 7-8pm

There are no auditions to join but we do ensure that new members are likeminded and work well with other members of the group.

‘A PLAY IN 2 DAYS’ - Semi-improvised Fundraiser  (The Wind in the Willows)

Sunday 7th September 2025, 7.30pm

How it work

-Cast members must express interest in taking part 

-If they have not taken part in a TotS show before they must attend an informal audition / ‘get to know you’ session 

-Cast members will be allocated roles

-There will be a readthrough of the outline script and this occasion will also serve as an opportunity to devise/suggest ideas that can be explored on rehearsal days

-Cast members are expected to learn lines between the readthrough and the rehearsal days

-Rehearsals will take place on just two days - the performance day Sunday 7th September and one other date beforehand. The readthrough date and first rehearsal day will be negotiated around cast availability.

Performances will likely be Thursday - Saturday evenings, we may include a Saturday matinee

AUDITIONS: MONDAY 30th JUNE 2025, 7pm, at Theatre on the Steps

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will take place on Mondays and Thursdays, July - October 2025

Additional rehearsals will take place on weekend afternoons - these dates will be selected around the availability of cast members 

Casting

Principle, supporting and chorus roles are for adults and young people aged 14 and over

GHOST WALK

Synopsis

Ghost Walk - Ghosts

We have 10 ghosts hidden around Bridgnorth, our team of guides lead audiences (in groups of up to 20) on a walking tour to meet each ghost and hear the story of their tragic demise. Ghosts need to be strong actors with powerful voices who are not afraid of potentially acting in the rain! 

Ghost Walk - Showcase

The Ghost Walk Showcase is a cabaret of spooky songs featuring spectacular singing and dancing from local talent. Audiences who have been on the Ghost Walk around the town return to the theatre post-walk and enjoy a drink with entertainment from acts in the showcase. 

AUDITIONS: 

GHOSTS - To express your interest in auditioning to be a ghost please email nikki@theatreonthesteps.co.uk with details of your acting experience 

SHOWCASE - To audition for the showcase please record yourself singing/dancing the song you would like to perform at the showcase and send it to Nikki via whatsapp on 07769 814816 with the text Audition for Ghost Walk Showcase. If you would like to ask questions or enquire about the showcase please email nikki@theatreonthesteps.co.uk The Deadline for auditions is 10am on 20th August 2025.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will be called as required. Tech/dress rehearsals will take place on Saturday 25th October and/or Monday 27th October as cast availability requires.

WEEK ONE: Saturday 10th (2pm, 7pm), Sunday 11th (3pm)

WEEK TWO: Thursday 15th (7pm), Friday 16th (7pm), Saturday 17th (2pm, 7pm), Sunday 18th (3pm)

WEEK THREE: Friday 23rd (7pm), Saturday 24th (2pm, 7pm), Sunday 25th (3pm)

WEEK FOUR: Thursday 29th (7pm), Friday 30th (7pm), Saturday 31st (2pm, 7pm)

AUDITIONS: THURSDAY 23rd OCTOBER 2025, 7pm, at Theatre on the Steps

Casting

Principle, supporting and chorus roles are for adults and young people aged 14 and over.

Younger people/children who are part of the Theatre on the Steps Youth Theatre may audition for a role in the chorus.
